Student Council: Let there be Movie

The Movie Week was held from 2^nd to 8^th July in the BCAS Wellawatte City Campus and similar events was held three days after in the BCAS Dehiwale City Campus, The Movie Week’s, Objective was fundraise for the Fun Week later known as the Fun Fiesta, here each student was collected 50 Rs [SL] and issued a ticket by the student council.

There 7 Planned Movies held for seven days and the students were given popcorn for 5 Rs the first day and then 20 Rs then on. But later during the weekends there was high demand therefore more Movies were held during the week ends bringing the total held movies to 11, some of the movies were repeats, of the planned movies due to the high demand such X-Men First Class, & The Core.

Movie week would hold one movie each day at 04:00 PM or at 04:30 PM for seven day initially, but if the fundraising was not enough then more movies would be held, all movies are selected based on their PG rating, most movies that we have selected are animated movies to ensure it further still.

Also the dehiwala campus organized their own movie week event, under the guidance of the entertainment VP who also from the dehiwala campus.
