The Iftar event is a religious event held in BCAS every year as part of BCAS traditions usually we hold it in each campus separately, but this time the students of all campuses would join the Ifthar Event at the Wellawatte Campus.
The Students would join at the evening on the student lobby area to join breaking fast, preceded by prayer, and any vote of thanks to BCAS and Sponsors, the girls would break their fast in the library, and the main events would be recorded, as well as broadcasted via live video feed from the student lobby area to the library, these technical support was provided by the students from the R&D as well as the staff from the R&D departments,
The Iftar was held on the 19th of August which is Friday.
The event started at around 05:00:00 PM, where students from all the campuses started to pour in, and by sun-set all the attending students were present and the amount tolled up to 750 students, some students who came were sent to the open area (which was our default contingency plan in case the student participation was high), in the open area some students were seated in tables whereas the reaming students were seated on mats, and some boxes were broken to create extra space, fortunately the weather forecast was said to be non-cloudy or rainy and therefore the event proceeding was organized without a hitch from the weather perspective
