In the Begining!

In the Beginning there was darkness, and then the supreme entity said let there be light and then the universe and everything in it was created.

When we started the fun week event our student council incarnation was still in its infancy even today when I am typing this post we are still gaining the experience of managing the fun week project.

Although I would like to say that I have never seen such a team of people get together like this before, the best way to explain the council is calling it the dream team because they are the best of stream and batch and they have come together to work on provincial/national level.

We are responsible for overseeing the functions of the each campus because we are part of the main council and our first main task is to hold the fun week event, which we have decided to call fun fiesta.

So let me take you on walk on the first day how of how the Student Council was formed, It started rough like all things do, but eventually smoothen out and turned out to be a very amazing council

Election of the Student Council 2011

The Student Batch Representatives were issued a spontaneous message by the Coordinators of each stream of each department of each campus, about a sudden meeting of the batch representatives, the objective was not mentioned or clearly defined at the beginning, the student were only informed to attend, during the day prior to the meeting a massive enterprise was held in informing batch reps.

All the students who attended the meeting did not known that the student council was been reformed, they only knew it was about the fun week, “but to hold the fun week we must first have a student council or union” was said, by the coordinators who were present during the meeting.

So the student council vote was held to fill the office bearer positions, and the candidate for the positions were first nominated then asked to volunteer by the students, the remaining students who could not attend were given positions in the Fun Week Committee, [later known as the Fun Fiesta Committee] which operated to organize the fun week together with the Student Council.

Notes

All Students of BCAS are members of the Student Council.

The batch representatives are the executive members of the student council and will attend meeting that planned by the office bearers and the announcement will be given from the secretary via Email and SMS if necessary.

All the nonexecutive members can get information via the batch representatives and the any suggestion can be made in the reverse order by supplying batch representatives with the information & suggestions.

The next Student Council election is to be held in January 2012, the Student Council 2011 will be active till 2011 December 31^th.

There will both department wise and student wise activities held by the student council according to the chief operations manager.
